Freedom of religion no longer applies to Christians in Phoenix, Arizona.
This is a true statement for Michael Salman of Phoenix, Arizona. Michael Salman is a pastor that holds private bible studies in his home and has been doing so since 2005.
Michael Salman is currently siting in jail for holding these bible studies in his home. Salman was sentenced to 60 days in jail, three years probation and received a $12,180 fine for “the crime.”

One of the first things I thought about was are they creating difficulty with the traffic for all their neighbors. All the articles that I have found do not list any complaints from neighbors of any kind.
The Salman’s were given notice in 2007 that the area they lived in was not zoned for a church. Phoenix City Prosecutor Vicki Hill said in a statement: “It came down to zoning and proper permitting. Anytime you are holding a gathering of people continuously as he does, we have concerns about people being able to exit the facility properly in case there is a fire, and that’s really all this comes down to.”
Okay, really, so they have to get the police to put together a raid team and run an arrest warrant for Michael Salaman because he was possibly in violation of zoning ordinances? Maybe they were really getting out of control with those bible studies. (very sarcastic on my part)
Give me a break, this is a total outrage and miscarriage of justice in my opinion. Yes, as I have said before with my opinion and $5 you can go to Starbucks and get a nice drink. This is just ludicrous in my thinking.
Are we to really think that fact that he was meeting in his home, on his property, which is about 4 acres of land, that he was causing any problem to those around him? I think not!
If this would have been a group of Muslims I have extreme difficulty believing that the Phoenix City Prosecutor would have acted in this manner.
